Help us reach our goal of developing 3000 Conceptual Technologists by 2030
The Parallax Futures fellowship is a 5-month program that trains practitioners to become conceptual technologists through the application of conceptual thinking to emergent technologies. By bringing together individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, disciplines, and perspectives, we create an environment where diverse thought and innovation thrives. Fellowship participants will play an active role in refining and shaping the program through their experiences, feedback, and discovered best practices. Upon completion fellows are invited to join the Conceptual Technologist community.
Challenge conceptual assumptions and frameworks by demonstrating how worlds are conceptually contingent.
Experiment with prototyping methods as a means to adapt to an evolving landscape of new techniques and tools.
Produce knowledge through methods such as sensing, sense-making and philosophical inquiry.
Use comparative and composite research to recognize and incorporate multiple perspectives.
Learn the conceptual thinking methodology, rapid prototyping and creative research techniques alongside diving into conceptual histories guided by Sr. Fellows.
Be exposed to each Senior fellow’s experimentation area (ExA) to identify how conceptual analysis can be utilized to build contemporary technology as products, research or art.
Learn how to translate ideas into tangible outputs with expert mentorship. Develop pitches, plans, prototypes, or products showcasing new possibilities at our final showcase.
Investigates the differences in images produced by computation and its implications for art, ethics, and technology.
